It seemed to be a problem with it running as a USB Attached SCSI device and the Jmicron chipset. It now seems fixed. It's been a month or two since I've tried playing with my enclosure so I'm not exactly sure when this got fixed but today I was able to (complete the) transfer multiple 10GB files to a SSD drive in my inateck enclosure at 90+ MB/s.
